A local doctor and Jode Wetherby's son-in-law. He isolates his pregnant wife Alice, allowing her to die in childbirth to secure the family inheritance. In the present, he orchestrates a fake kidnapping of his daughter Marge to kill his father-in-law, but is shot by his accomplice Quigley before he can reveal her location.
