Cellular biology professor and former soldier, Lena is the protagonist and sole survivor of the expedition into the Shimmer. Motivated by her husband Kane's return, she joins the team to investigate the anomaly. Throughout the journey, she witnesses extreme genetic mutation and refracting within the zone. She ultimately survives by outsmarting the Ventress doppelgänger and returns to face the mutated version of her husband.
