High-ranking Union officer and fort commandant who secretly acts as the chief traitor and spy for the Confederacy. Initially appears sympathetic to Kearney, but later orders the murder of witnesses who know Kearney's true undercover role and frames Kearney for treason before being confronted during the rifle shipment hijacking.
