Wudangquan grandmaster from the North who appoints Ma San as his heir and concedes the South needs its own representative. He engages in a philosophical, non-lethal confrontation with Ip Man using a flat-cake metaphor for Chinese unity. He is eventually killed by Ma San, who betrays China during the war.
