A young henchman working for Kasper Gutman who tails Spade. During the confrontation at Spade's apartment, Spade implicates Wilmer as the murderer of Floyd Thursby and Captain Jacoby. The other criminals agree to sacrifice him, and he is subdued, later escaping during the chaos before being apprehended by police.
