A former suitor of Lucy who helps summon Dr. Van Helsing. He actively participates in hunting Dracula, helping to destroy the Count's soil boxes and pursuing him to Transylvania. During the final battle, he is fatally stabbed but manages to drive his knife into Dracula's heart before succumbing to his wounds.
