Caesar's loyal general and co-ruler of the Roman Republic. He seeks Egyptian resources, initiates a passionate affair with Cleopatra, and wages war against Octavian following a political rift. After his fleet is defeated at Actium, he commits suicide, dying in Cleopatra's arms.
