Jonathan's close friend who accompanies him on his journey to find Sara. He helps Jonathan track down Sara's address in San Francisco and supports Jonathan in realizing he should not marry Halley. After the wedding is canceled, Dean reassures Jonathan of his decision and vows to be more spontaneous in his own marriage.
