An abandoned infant rescued by Douzi and trained as a dan role under Master Guan and later Dieyi. He becomes resentful of Dieyi's strict training, aligns with the new political regime, and betrays his mentors during the Cultural Revolution. His ambition leads him to usurp Dieyi's stage role and participate in the troupe's public humiliation.
