A one-legged ship's cook and secret pirate leader aboard the Hispaniola. He plots to steal Flint's treasure and kill the loyal crew, but later pretends to befriend Jim Hawkins and forms a temporary alliance with Dr. Livesey and Ben Gunn during a mutiny. Ultimately captured but freed by Jim before sailing away.
