Ex-Colonel returning to post-war Tokyo to reclaim his old bar. He seeks financial backing for an airline franchise, unknowingly partnering with war criminal Baron Kimura. After discovering his wife Trina is alive and has a daughter with him, Anya, he becomes the target of Kimura's blackmail to smuggle fugitive Japanese officers. Joe ultimately flies the plane to rescue Anya, gets shot by Kimura, and is rescued by US Army troops.
