Rescued by Duncan, she is revealed to be the sole survivor of a family he accidentally killed years ago. After holding him at gunpoint, she spares him and asks for help identifying who ordered her father's death, prompting Duncan's commitment.
Duncan is Camille's biological father, a fact discovered late in the story.
