A physician and Anne's husband, Peter is the father of Gustav and the twin girls. He supports the family plan to have Gustav move in. After returning from a cabin trip, he learns of the affair between Anne and Gustav from his son. Despite Anne's denials and counter-accusations, he eventually accepts Gustav's departure for boarding school.
