A highly competitive fellow pilot candidate who initially rivals Lei Yu for limited test pilot positions. He eventually serves as the backseater during the critical J-16 prototype test, where he is knocked unconscious by a bird strike but is rescued by Lei Yu, who refuses to eject without him.
