A huge, thuggish former boxer who terrorizes the neighborhood and forces Marcello into criminal activities. He brutally beats others, gets shot, and later robs a gold shop using Marcello's key. After Marcello's imprisonment, Simoncino squanders the loot and publicly beats him, ultimately leading to his own death when Marcello turns the tables in a violent struggle.
