Main protagonist and one of the two sisters. Struggles to adjust to her new town but befriends neighbor Evan. During a quarantine caused by a parasite outbreak, she relies on her father's science lessons to attempt removing the parasite from her infected sister Stacey. Ultimately kills Stacey to survive, escapes the bombed quarantine zone with Evan, and travels to Washington to find her parents.
