An alchemist trusted by the Count who cures his ailments and seeks the Elixir of Life. He discovers the dragon is an alien spacecraft piloted by IX, receives a data crystal, and distills the Elixir. After a palace coup, he sacrifices the last drop to revive the dying IX, granting him a halo-like glow.
