An eccentric actor and Frances's father. He accompanies Frances to Rio for her vacation and line study. Later, he listens to Paul's account of meeting Nancy, quickly identifies the source of the confusion by cross-referencing it with Frances's play script, and helps clarify the entire situation for the family.
