Bitter and loudmouthed widower on a disastrous blind date with Minnie. After chasing her out of the restaurant, he gets into a physical altercation with Seymour, suffers a bloody injury, and leaves crying, inadvertently stranding Minnie and setting the stage for her encounter with Seymour.
