Protagonist paramedic who steals from patients and is controlling toward his girlfriend Vane. After becoming paralyzed in an ambulance accident, he becomes paranoid, stalks Vane, kidnaps her, murders his neighbor and Vane's new partner, and is eventually left completely paralyzed and helpless in a hospital.
They work together as paramedics on the same emergency response team.
