A Chicago reporter and Joan's estranged husband who attempts to rescue her from her gambling addiction. He initially stays with her in Las Vegas and later moves to Mexico, but becomes frustrated by her relapses, ultimately leaving to file for divorce. After she is severely beaten, he returns to the hospital to fight for her recovery and their marriage.
