A pilot and sanctuary operator in Zambia who initially picks up Kate for her trip. He discovers a poached elephant mother's calf with Kate and helps establish her role at the sanctuary. Despite breaking up with his girlfriend Leslie over his growing feelings for Kate, he remains dedicated to the foundation and eventually marries Kate, sharing her passion for wildlife conservation.
