The stern Major's widowed sister-in-law stranded at Fort Thorn. She harbors resentment toward Tucker, whom she holds responsible for her husband's death, and is wary of his overprotectiveness. She secretly hides in a supply wagon to leave the fort, but Tucker allows her to stay. After the siege and the fall of the Confederacy, she attempts to offer him hope.
