The protagonist and son of a school principal, Siddharth runs away from home after failing his higher secondary exams with the initial intent of suicide. He travels to Chennai with Pavithra, where they fall in love and attempt to build a new life together. To win her back after a misunderstanding, he takes shelter in a local barbershop, where he faces threats from a brutal policeman, Pavithra’s murderous father, her eccentric uncle, and a local Gujarati woman. Despite these obstacles, he ultimately triumphs to secure their future.
