Protagonist grieving her father's suicide and a breakup with James. Visits friend Virginia at a cabin where her mental health rapidly deteriorates into paranoia and hallucinations. She imagines hostile party guests, confronts Rich, attempts to strangle him during a breakdown, and ultimately leaves the cabin laughing maniacally after leaving a portrait for Virginia.
