A successful London barrister and central protagonist. Initially dismisses a call from Jack Barrett, fearing blackmail over their past relationship. After learning Barrett was targeted by extortionists and subsequently died by suicide, Farr dedicates himself to dismantling the blackmail ring. He recruits Barrett's friend Eddy, tracks down other victims, and collaborates with the police to arrest the perpetrators. Despite knowing his testimony will ruin his career and marriage, he plans to go public to challenge anti-homosexuality laws.
