A young man from Pennsylvania who relocates to Los Angeles to work for an ambulance company. Initially overwhelmed by his partner Jimmy's apparent competence, Tom gradually discovers Jimmy's hidden struggles with trauma and substance abuse. He becomes entangled in Jimmy's world and must ultimately decide his own life direction.
Both serve as emergency medical responders sharing the same vehicle and duties.
