Wealthy young man and childhood friend of Holt, whom he bought freedom for. He joins the guerrilla unit, temporarily leaves the group after Jack's wounding, and later returns during a fierce battle. Clyde is mortally shot through the throat while rushing to aid Holt and dies in his arms.
