A police constable and partner to Mundie who conceals past police brutality and a staged suicide. His psychological unraveling leads him to brutally murder Dr. Hume during an interrogation. He joins Mundie in threatening Heggie but is soon shot and killed by the insane Sgt. MacReady. Six later condemns him as an adulterer and betrayer for his affair with Mundie and his willingness to override justice.
