The protagonist and favorite son of a prominent farming family. After returning home following a 12-year absence and a three-year jail term for a failed architectural project, he faces disappointment from his family and town. Overwhelmed by disillusionment, he tragically shoots his brother and mother at his wedding before being fatally shot by his brother.
