A high school history teacher who initially ignores the political violence in Argentina. After returning friend Ana's torture stories and student protests, she questions her adopted daughter Gaby's origins. She investigates birth records, allies with teacher Benítez, and connects with Sara, who claims Gaby might be her kidnapped granddaughter. Confronted by her husband's refusal to seek the truth and his subsequent violence, she ultimately leaves him to find Gaby's real parents.
