Derek's 14-year-old younger brother. Initially influenced by his brother's past, he joins the Disciples of Christ gang and sports a D.O.C. tattoo. After a tense confrontation, Derek shares his transformative prison experiences, which successfully redirects Danny away from hate. Tragically, he is shot and killed by a Black student in the school bathroom, serving as the catalyst for Derek's final despair and the film's closing narration.
