A lonely, pessimistic 9th grader living with his father and umbrella-maker grandfather. He leads the rock band SEIRÈN and befriends Lu, the ningyo girl. His actions make Lu viral, causing him to neglect his band and Lu. He later helps rescue Lu, apologizes, declares mutual love, and starts a new life.
