Accused cattle rustler and Ann's father. Rescued from a lynch mob by Marshal Merrick and taken to Santa Loma for trial. Despite Merrick's efforts to prove his innocence, he is convicted based on circumstantial evidence and sentenced to hang before the real culprit is revealed.
