An American chorus girl who travels to Paris and marries Peter Millett, expecting a life of wealth and high society. Upon discovering he is a poor widower with three children living in a remote farmhouse, she perseveres. Despite initial hostility from villagers and sabotage from Dot Harris, she uses her pluck and decency to win over the community and ultimately triumphs.
