An unemployed academic and Yun-sil's husband struggling to secure a professorship. He accidentally locks a neighbor's Shih Tzu, later steals an old woman's Min Pin, and throws it off a roof. After his wife loses a Toy Poodle named Soon-Ja, he falsely denies involvement. Overcome with guilt after learning Park Hyun-nam was fired searching for the dogs, he confesses. He eventually becomes a professor but remains unsatisfied.
