A Marathi Hindu extremist who leads a local militia and recruits a grieving Ram. He blames Gandhi for the partition violence, distributes anti-Gandhi propaganda, and secretly orchestrates an assassination plot. After a horse-riding accident leaves him paralyzed, he forces Ram to continue the mission.
