Harold's wealthy, self-obsessed socialite mother who is distressed by his morbid behavior. She repeatedly tries to normalize his life by sending him to a psychiatrist, arranging blind dates, buying him a luxury car, and attempting to enlist him in the military through his uncle. She strongly opposes his romance with Maude.
