Pirate captain who spares French prisoner LaRochelle, falls in love with him, and defends him from her mentor Blackbeard. After being betrayed by LaRochelle to the British, she captures his wife as leverage. Driven by conscience, she returns to save them, fights Blackbeard's forces, and is ultimately killed in a naval battle.
