Lucja's fourth son. Becomes a committed Communist and participates in political meetings. Post-war, he is inexplicably arrested by the new regime, falsely accused of collaboration, tortured into a false confession, and dies in prison while remaining a Communist to the end. His fate is withheld from Lucja.
