A timpanist in Lanner's orchestra and Katti's love interest. He impersonates Strauss to teach Queen Victoria the waltz, discovers Lanner's unpublished composition on a handkerchief, and voluntarily takes the blame for the unauthorized performance to protect Strauss, eventually reuniting with Katti.
