A successful lawyer whose life unravels after her husband Giorgio leaves her. Plunged into depression, she isolates herself until a chance encounter with a Syrian refugee boy, Marhaba, gives her a new purpose. She volunteers at a reception center, helps him gain trust, secures legal custody, and eventually travels to Berlin to reunite him with his brothers and a German foster family, ultimately finding personal fulfillment and renewed hope.
