Johnny's adoptive Indian cousin who accompanies him on parts of the journey. He later visits Johnny, suggests scalping Uncle Wilse for revenge, and leads a retaliatory scalping party. After Johnny warns settlers, Half Arrow and the tribe turn against him before his father intervenes.
