The protagonist, a street hustler suffering from narcolepsy. He dreams of his mother and yearns to find her, traveling to Idaho and later Italy with his best friend. He confesses his love to Scott but remains unrequited. Ultimately, he returns to the highway alone, only to be picked up after passing out.
