A blind masseur and renowned swordsman hired by Sukegoro. Often underestimated due to his low social status, he develops a mutual respect with rival ronin Miki Hirate. After winning an honorable duel against Hirate, he rejects Otane's advances and chooses to continue his solitary wanderer life.
