Protagonist and leader of a nomadic group of drug addicts. He orchestrates pharmacy and hospital robberies to fund their habits. After his girlfriend Nadine dies of an overdose, he decides to enter a methadone treatment program to get clean, moves to a motel in Portland, and works a low-level job. He is later shot by David while resisting a robbery, and reflects on his spiritual debt before the film ends.
