A stockbroker who steals a million dollars from his company to escape his mundane life in Los Angeles. He meets Cynthia Strong on a flight to Shanghai, helps her evade blackmail from Alan Marker, and eventually teams up with her to recover his stolen briefcase. After returning the money to his firm, he fulfills a promise to reunite with Cynthia in Honolulu.
