John's wealthy but ill-matched wife who financially supports the bridal dress factory. She refuses his divorce requests and returns early from a trip to catch him in an affair. John murders her with a cleaver while she wears a wedding gown and buries her remains in the greenhouse. Her spirit haunts him until his ashes are scattered, and she appears to him at the end to taunt him about their eternal damnation.
