Yoon-young's single deaf mother. The tragedy begins when her co-worker assaults Yoon-young, driving the daughter to kill the man partly to protect her. After Yoon-young is imprisoned as 2037, the depressed young woman stops meeting her mother, leaving Kwon Kyeong-sook outside the prison, still deeply connected to her daughter's emotional journey.
