An armchair explorer who provides a map actually drawn for his store route. His knowledge accidentally leads the group to the diamond site. After being rescued by a gorilla and fleeing cannibals, he is abandoned by Buzz but returns wealthy, owning a skyscraper and partnering with the gorilla.
They begin as coworkers and friends who become expedition partners.
Buzz brings Stanley to Diana's home to draw the map, and both later join the Congo expedition together.
Stanley's accidental knowledge makes him useful to Diana's expedition.
